Richard von Hirschberg is a Merchandising Systems specialist with 25 years experience in the design, development and implementation of various merchandising systems. He headed up the original development teams of the two world-leading Merchandise Planning systems: Arthur and i2 Merchandise Planner. He has worked closely with several US and international retailers, providing strategic advice for and managing the implementation of Merchandise Planning, Assortment Planning, and Allocation processes and systems. He has had management and executive responsibility for marketing and product strategy with four US software companies involved in the development of supply chain and merchandising systems: IBM, ProfitLogic, AllPoints Systems, and EXE Technologies.
Richard has two degrees in Accounting and Psychology and a post graduate degree in Information Systems, all earned at the University of Cape Town
