Prior to his alliance with Columbus Consulting, Inc., Michael held positions with JDA Software, Inc. in Consulting Services, Program Management, and New Product Development. During this time, he became conversant with a considerable number of JDA products including Arthur Planning, Enterprise Planning, Arthur Information Manager, Arthur Knowledge Base, Enterprise Knowledge Base, Performance Analysis, PA Web, and Arthur Assortment Planning.

While at JDA, he was part of a team responsible for designing and building Enterprise Planning. He was a system designer and business analyst helping to gather and define functional and system requirements. He was the Architect and Lead Developer for the Enterprise Planning Implementation Toolkit. He developed training materials and trained the Consulting Services Personnel on Enterprise Planning implementation procedures. He reviewed the designs of all Enterprise Planning implementations with JDA Consulting Services.

Prior to that, Michael was part of the Implementation Practices team responsible for identifying and codifying JDA’s best implementation practices. He was one of the two people responsible for writing the Visual Basic DLLs and EXEs that make up the ARTHUR Channel and Product Rapid, a fully automated implementation of ARTHUR Planning using industry best practices.

Michael has over thirty years of experience in retail. He brings extensive executive retail management and merchandise planning experience from his distinguished 17-year career with Jacobson’s Stores, Inc.

He is technically adept in software development, implementation, and installation. He was trained and coached by industry leaders in the Agile-Scrum software development methodology.

Michael brings his special blend of functional and technical expertise to bear primarily in the Planning and Business Intelligence arenas. He is, however, uniquely qualified to help customers who have a need for automation and mechanization anywhere in their business.

Michael is recognized by customers and colleagues as a master at process automation. He has hands on experience with a wide array of technologies including: C#, VB.NET, Visual Basic 6.0, Visual Basic for Applications, Oracle, SQL Server, Unix, Windows, MSDOS, ASP, ASP.NET, VBScript, JavaScript, Windows Scripting, and the MS Office suite of products.

Michael received a B.A. in Philosophy at Michigan State University and has published a number of articles in professional journals.
His client experiences include DSW, Inc., Urban Brands, Neiman Marcus, Coach, Liverpool, and C & A Modas to name a few.
