Tom Harden is a Principal with Columbus Consulting, Inc. Tom assists clients in bringing together strategy, merchandise analytics, and profit-based processes and systems in the multi-channel world of store, catalog, e-commerce, and international retailing.
Prior to joining Columbus Consulting Tom was EVP/COO at Lands’ End Direct Merchants, a division of Sears Holdings Company. He also led the Merchandise Planning, Allocation and Testing team at American Eagle Outfitters; was SVP of Supply Chain at Dick’s Sporting Goods; EVP/COO at Send.com (a dot com start-up); and EVP at L. L. Bean where he also served on the Board of Directors. Tom spent almost 10 years at The Limited Brands where he was VP of Merchandise Planning and Allocation, and led IT at Express and Limited Stores divisions. He also led a team that developed Merchandise Supply Chain Applications for all Limited retail divisions.
He has consulted for Sheplers, N2N Commerce, several private equity and capital funds, The Limited Brands, Big Bear Food Stores, The Distribution Research and Education Foundation, and a 400-store retail chain headquartered in Venezuela. He is also a former member of the NRF CIO Council.
Tom has a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from The Ohio State University where he also did post-graduate work in Marketing, Consumer Behavior and Supply Chain.
